Brandon's Story

Moving towards the next stage of life, “Brandon Marlon recently made Aliya in hopes of contributing to Israeli society. KIDS FOR KIDS and its work with young victims of terrorism fulfills Brandon’s desire to do meaningful charity work for his fellow Israelis.

Brandon has taken on himself to HIKE 4 KIDS, a K4K project which will aid the children of Sderot who are vulnerable each day, who’s the sky rains menacing missiles threating their very lives.

His hike will span a 40 day journey from Tel Dan in the Golan to Eilat and the Red Sea. The Israel National Trail traverses the green hills of Galilee, the Shephelah and Coastal Plain, the Hills of Samaria and Judaea and the rocky terrain of the beige Negev Desert. Brandon will leave late March and return mid May.

“I’ve long had a love for the Land of Israel,” says Brandon. Like so many Jews and Zionists, he is also a humanitarian. His HIKE 4 KIDS on behalf of K4K combines this love of the Land with his compassionate love of the Land’s people. “I intend to do chessed (kindness) projects on a regular basis, through specific awareness/fundraising initiative like the one I am doing now for KIDS FOR KIDS.

Brandon has chosen to earmark funds from his sponsors to the 25,000 Sderot residents profoundly affected by the trauma of living in an undeclared war zone. The experience has been most difficult on the children, many who have been directly injured by Kassam rockets in recent days, some very seriously. Brandon is also designating his fundraising to assist the recent victims of the horrific attack at Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva in Jerusalem.

I am channeling all garnered support through KIDS FOR KIDS, a Jerusalem-based charitable organization that specifically services young victims of terrorism.

“Please help me in my efforts to assist these children in their ongoing hours of need through the goodwill and crucial therapeutic programs of KIDS FOR KIDS.”
