K4K Priority... Emotional & Psychological Health of our Children

In our "Programs & Services" web-pages, you will see the various ways your generous contributions are being effectively use by KIDS FOR KIDS. Of major concern is the prevention and treatment of our children's emotional and psychological wounds. The funds you donate enables KIDS FOR KIDS to develop therapeutic programs to facilitate the recovery of young victims of terrorism and their families.

Treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

According to Dr. Dany Brom, Director of the Israel Center for the Treatment of Psycho-Trauma of the Herzog Hospital, “for each person directly involved in a terrorist attack, there are at least 100 other family, friends, neighbors, or others who have the potential to be traumatized by the event."

A recent research study shows that 42% of Israeli youth show signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  KIDS FOR KIDS uses your generous contributions to address this problem by:

• Sponsoring psychological treatment for children and their families

• Conducting educational workshops & seminars continually updating professionals and qualified lay people in pertinent skills and issues such as Crisis Intervention Training, Bereavement, and Trauma

• Developing child support programming such as FOOTSTEPS and Eytan

• Creating and Implementation innovative therapeutic techniques such as Digital Storytelling, a multi-media narrative therapy modalities

• Carry out hospital and home visits

• Offer follow-up assistance to nefgai terror (those effected by the terrorism).

As KIDS FOR KIDS works to raise funds and, simultaneously, implement supportive services for young victims and their families, our major priority is the emotional and psychological welfare of the children.

Last year, KIDS FOR KIDS administrative costs were less than 12%.
