InterFACE

Designed for touring missions, schools, youth organizations, synagogues, and private groups the InterFace program brings young Israeli teens and their families together with Diaspora Jews in K4K’s Old City Library or optional venue.

The Diaspora participants are introduced to Israeli teenagers who have been affected by terrorism… who share personal accounts on how their lives have been dramatically changed. The broad view of contemporary Israel, portraying the lives, hopes and losses of the direct and indirect victims of terrorism is also presented by a K4K staff member.

After grasping a better understanding of what is usually missed behind the scenes, a discussion evolves on the matzav, and what can be done – both in the Diaspora and here in Israel to ease the situation.

Then a series of “Digital Stories” created by young victims of terrorism are screened. These short movie clips of 3-5 minutes are then discussed in ‘break-out’ groups with the Israeli teens and their visitors.

Often, K4K shares with the group the experience of a ‘victim’ and their special need which the group can lend a hand. There are Diaspora groups who have subsidized purchases of medicines and other necessities for victims! On their Israeli trip it is not unusual for a Diaspora group’s deepest emotional experience to be their time at InterFACE.

InterFACE activities are flexible, should your group have a particular interest, K4K would try to accommodate.
